About the Recipe

Want to make a yummy summer treat for your pup? Do they always watch you with eager eyes when you eat your strawberry ice-cream? Give this super easy recipe a go!
Fruits can have some fantastic benefits for our furry friends, for example; bananas are packed with vitamins and minerals, they help support muscles, digestion and general immunity. Berries as a whole are full of antioxidants, as well as vitamins and can even help to relieve allergies and ay inflammation.

Ingredients

  • Fruit of your choice (some great choices are blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, banana, cranberries, pineapple)

  • 1 cup of plain yoghurt (no sweeteners or flavourings)

Preparation

Step 1

Mash up the fruit that you have chosen, alternatively you could freeze it before hand and blend it up.

Step 2

Combine your fruit mash with your yoghurt, at this stage you also have the option of adding supplement powders if you would like. Maybe you want to use this treat to encourage your dog to eat their GLM powder (if you do this you need to do some math. If you want to add 7 days worth of the powder, you need to ensure your final number of treats is a multiple of 7 to ensure they are having the correct amount each day. Say you make 21 treats that would be 3 a day).

Step 3

Line a tray with some parchment paper, create your drops, either using a piping bag or teaspoons (or tablespoons for a larger dog).

Step 4

Put the tray in the freezer, after a few hours you can remove the drops from the tray and put them in a bag or tub for easier storage.
